His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani met with UK Prime Minister Theresa May, on 19 September 2017, during the 72nd session at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
HH and the Prime Minister discussed the historic bilateral relations of Qatar and the UK and their mutual eagerness to develop collaborative cooperation across various fields.
HH Sheikh Hamad and Mrs May exchanged their views on various developments in the regions and across the international arena, specifically the latest developments of the Gulf crisis, the international efforts to support the sisterly State of Kuwait and the mutual ambition to solve the crises through diplomatic dialogue.
The meeting was attended by a body of Qatari and British delegates.
